THE BLACKRIDGE FOREST
A Pick-A-Path Adventure
contd ...
As Emma turned left and headed up the ridgeline, the sky started to cloud over.
"Oh No," she said to Twinkles, "I sure hope its not going to rain".
But almost as soon as she spoke large raindrops started to fall so she decided to take cover under the trees. As the rain grew heavier she almost wished she had not come on the adventure, but she thought, it can't rain forever.
About an hour passed before the rain suddenly stopped - almost as quickly as it had started. As Emma resumed her journey up the path she noted that the path was now a huge mudpool. Her shoes were getting very dirty and it was getting harder to walk. Maybe I should have gone across the river she thought, but it was too late now.
After walking another ten minutes, Emma came across a cave, carved out of the side of the cliff-face. She could hear the waterfall in the distance, but decided the cave looked much to inviting - she just had to go into it.
