Emma made a hasty decision to turn around, and get off the bridge before she ended up in the cold river below. She picked up Twinkles, and at a very slow walk, headed back the way she had come.
The bridge continued to groan very loudly. Emma made it to the end of the bridge just in time to see the whole bridge fall into the gushing river.
"Phew," Emma said to Twinkles, just as well I got off the bridge.
Emma set off back towards the junction in the path. When she reached it she decided it would be safer to follow the path up the hill. The sky had cleared, but for how long?
